I just read in a National Geographic that carnations on a gravestone used to be a symbol that the deceaced was an anarchist. Unfortunetly the article didn't say much else. I'm curious about the origin of this symbol. I did a quick google and wiki search but couldn't turn up much of anything useful. Does anyone know anything about this? Please teach me the history behind this anarchy/carnation association. My search also turned up something about black roses as an anarchist symbol. I'd like to learn about that to. Thanks
